For Jewellery Lovers….

Award-winning jeweller and goldsmith Nigel O’Reilly to open luxury studio for private appointments and commissions

His love affair with jewellery began after reading about a goldsmith during his studies for the Leaving Certificate.

Now, 17 years later, goldsmith and jeweller Nigel O’Reilly is celebrating after being crowned best Established Jeweller in the prestigious RDS Craft Awards 2017.

O’Reilly has blended traditional master craftsman skills with the use of the latest technology to become one of Ireland’s most in-demand jewellers. His unique understanding of light and colour has resulted in a body of work that has won widespread acclaim.

Nigel has revealed he is busy finalising plans to open a luxury ‘by appointment only’ studio in Castlebar, Co Mayo, his home county.

He says: “I’m absolutely thrilled with the RDS Craft Award, it is a great honour for me and there is no better time to announce that we will soon open a purpose-built studio.

“The studio represents all aspects of our jewellery. Every detail has considered, down to the Milo Baughman sofa to the colour of the walls and custom-made displays. The jewellery studio is the beating heart of everything — a place where I find inspiration and spark.”

Irish and international clients, who are in the market for Nigel’s eye-catching, sumptuous statement rings and unique pieces, will be able to relax and enjoy a one-to-one consultation with the master jeweller and experience his unrivalled skills.

For a decade, Nigel has worked for some of the biggest jewellers on London’s famous Bond Street. The new studio will allow him to bring the experience of working with high quality stones and other premium materials to his own jewellery.

Nigel says: “When I moved back to Ireland people thought I was crazy to set up in Mayo, but within three weeks, we established ourselves with some of the biggest jewellery houses in the world.”

Nigel adds: “I make jewellery, because I love jewellery. In every piece, I capture the individuality of the wearer. Making jewellery has become an obsession for me”.

His goldsmith and diamond-setting skills have resulted in a breath-taking body of work spread across four themed collections.

Pamper Yourself with the Perfect Accessory…

This year Jones Bootmaker is celebrating its 160th birthday. And it’s latest AW/SS17 ranges feature everything from traditional men’s Goodyear Welted shoes, to luxury leather boots for women, through to accessories such as bags and purses.

Jones Bootmaker was started in 1857 when Alfred Jones and his wife Emma opened a footwear shop in London’s Bayswater.

Alfred Jones was one of the first traders to install electric lighting in his shop and many people visited the store to see this new phenomenon and over the years he was joined by nine of his sons each opening-up their own stores trading under the name of Jones Bootmaker.

These stores led the field by introducing stocks of ready-made shoes in three different widths and started a tradition in shoe fitting.

Following the Second World War expansion continued with the opening of a large warehouse in Eastbourne, East Sussex, the acquisition of new stores and the modernisation of branches. Throughout the expansion the ideals of a family business with a long-standing reputation for quality care and fitting was maintained.

By 1955 the number of shops had outgrown the factories production capacity and the company joined Church & Co where it continued to expand.

Jones shoes and accessories are available online and in-store from any of its 70 stores and they offer free delivery on all UK orders, free returns online & in-store and free click and collect.

As well as its own brand shoes and bags it also offers a wide range of other brands including Barbour, Fly London, Gabor, Geox, Jeffery West, Loake, Lelli Kelly, Timberland,Vans and many more.
